Profile:

Born and raised in Chicago, Cardella’s Miesan architectural design education gave him the basics from which he developed his own style.  Architecture is foremost in his design vocabulary, followed by function, which forms the creative aspect of his warm and comfortable interiors.

Throughout all stages of Cardella Design projects, he coordinates and nurtures each element to its actual completion.  Accepting the limits imposed by clients is the creative principle in developing an environment of sensuality, drama, and distinctive understated elegance.

Essential to the success of every project is selecting the team members.  Sam Cardella works closely with the client to interview and select the architect, builder, landscape designer, and other consultants & trades to ensure a successful project.  The selection of the team, and most importantly, the client are the driving force of the creative and financial process to compose the end result.

Cardella’s portfolio of projects consists of a multi-faceted format of custom built homes and renovations, corporate headquarters and bars.

Architecture is the focus of Cardella’s work, which sets the stage for a functional, inviting, comfortable interior
